Ben, once a builder, always a drummer and now owner of K Drums and Twenty Four Touring Ltd joins is this year as the new boy on the judging panel. Ben was a drummer for many years playing in hardcore/metal bands and then moved more to funk. Not satisfied with what was available he decided to make his own drum kit using wood salvaged from building sites and is now producing custom made kits using only NZ hardwoods. He has also been drum tech for New Zealand band SIX60 for the last 6 years and now also their Production Manager.
Specialist Team work group manager for WSP Opus and is also a pretty awesome singer. She ran Construction Rocks in Sydney for three years when she was over in Australia, but is back now in NZ (she’s an Auckland gal)
Gael Ludlow has been a musician and radio broadcaster in New Zealand for over 40 years. Her most well-known stint was hosting Love Songs ‘til Midnight on three stations across the country. She has also been awarded a radio award for Best Newsreader during her career. More recently, Gael has been with blues band Riverhead Slide for the past 13 years.
